Platform Integration

FieldEdge runs your trucks.
Everything else is still manual.

FieldEdge handles dispatching, invoicing, and customer records. But when a job completes and you need to send a follow-up email, update a report, notify the office in Slack, or trigger a maintenance reminder in another system, someone's doing it by hand. OpenClaw connects FieldEdge to the rest of your operation.

OpenClaw sits on top of FieldEdge as the automation layer that bridges your field service platform to every other tool your business depends on.

automated dispatch and follow-up coverage

FieldEdge handles the field. Everything else falls through the cracks.

Your dispatching is dialed in. But the work that happens around each job is still scattered across five different tools and three people's inboxes.

Job completion doesn't trigger anything outside FieldEdge

A tech marks a job complete in FieldEdge. The invoice goes to QuickBooks (if you have that sync set up). But the follow-up email? The review request? The maintenance schedule update? The notification to the office manager? All manual. Every single time.

Customer communication lives in too many places

FieldEdge has customer records. Your email marketing tool has a separate list. Your Google reviews need responses. Your office phone system has call logs. None of these talk to each other. So when a customer calls about a job, your team spends the first two minutes figuring out what's already happened.

Reporting means exporting CSVs and building spreadsheets

You want to know your average ticket value by technician, or how many maintenance agreements are up for renewal this month. FieldEdge has the data, but getting it into a format your team can actually use means exports, spreadsheets, and someone spending their Friday afternoon on it.

Service agreements are revenue you're leaving on the table

You know recurring maintenance agreements are your most profitable work. But tracking renewals, sending reminders, and following up on lapsed agreements across hundreds of customers is a full-time job that nobody has time for. So agreements expire quietly and customers drift to competitors.

What OpenClaw adds on top of FieldEdge

FieldEdge stays your dispatching and job management hub. OpenClaw connects it to everything else and automates the work that falls between systems.

Automated post-job workflows

A technician marks a job complete in FieldEdge. OpenClaw picks up the event and handles the rest: sends a thank-you email through your email platform, requests a Google review via SMS, updates your reporting spreadsheet, and notifies the office manager in Slack. One trigger, four actions, zero manual steps.

Cross-platform reporting

OpenClaw pulls job data, revenue figures, and technician metrics from FieldEdge and compiles them into reports your team can actually use. Daily summaries in Slack. Weekly Google Sheets with trend lines. Monthly breakdowns by service type, technician, or customer segment. No more Friday afternoon spreadsheet sessions.

Two-way customer data sync

When a new customer is created in FieldEdge, OpenClaw adds them to your email marketing list, updates your CRM, and logs the record in your Google Sheet. When a customer updates their info through your website, OpenClaw pushes the change back to FieldEdge. Data flows both directions without anyone touching either system.

Service agreement automation

OpenClaw monitors service agreement dates in FieldEdge. When a maintenance visit is coming due, it sends the customer a reminder email, creates a task for your dispatcher, and pre-populates the work order details. When an agreement is about to expire, it triggers a renewal campaign. No more lost revenue from agreements that quietly lapse.

Review generation and routing

After every completed job, OpenClaw sends a review request through your preferred channel (email or SMS). Positive reviews get shared to your social media automatically. Negative reviews get routed to your manager in Slack with the full job history so they can respond before it becomes a public problem.

Equipment tracking alerts

FieldEdge tracks equipment at customer sites. OpenClaw watches for aging equipment, warranty expirations, and maintenance history patterns. When a unit hits a certain age or repair count, OpenClaw notifies your sales team with the customer's full equipment history so they can make a replacement recommendation backed by real data.

What is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw is an open-source AI assistant that connects to the tools you already use and operates them for you. Email, calendar, CRM, messaging, accounting, file storage. It reads, it responds, it takes action. It runs on your own devices, so your data stays yours.

For FieldEdge users, OpenClaw is the automation layer your field service platform doesn't have. It's the bridge between your dispatching board and every other system your business depends on, handling the customer follow-ups, cross-platform data sync, and multi-tool workflows that FieldEdge can't reach on its own.

What this looks like in practice

Three scenarios where OpenClaw extends FieldEdge into the rest of your business.

HVAC Company, 12 Techs

Every completed job triggers a five-step follow-up

A tech finishes an AC install and marks the job complete in FieldEdge. Within 60 seconds, OpenClaw sends a thank-you email with care instructions, texts a review request link, updates the weekly revenue tracker in Google Sheets, notifies the office manager in Slack, and schedules the first maintenance visit reminder for six months out. The tech did one thing. Five things happened.

Plumbing Contractor

Service agreement renewals that don't slip through

You have 300 maintenance agreements. OpenClaw checks FieldEdge every day for agreements expiring in the next 30, 14, and 7 days. Each threshold triggers a different email: a friendly heads-up, a renewal offer with pricing, and a final reminder. Your office staff doesn't touch any of it. Renewal rate went from 62% to 84% for the last contractor who set this up.

Electrical Contractor

Monday morning metrics without the spreadsheet work

It's 7 AM Monday. OpenClaw has already pulled last week's data from FieldEdge overnight: jobs completed by technician, average ticket value, callback rate, outstanding invoices, and service agreement status. The report lands in your inbox as a formatted Google Doc. Your office manager used to spend 90 minutes building this. Now she spends 5 minutes reading it.

How setup works

Three steps. We handle the technical work.

1

We connect OpenClaw to FieldEdge and your other tools

We set up API access to your FieldEdge account, configure webhooks for the events that matter (job status changes, new customers, invoice events, equipment updates), and connect the external tools you need: your email platform, Slack, Google Sheets, your CRM, whatever your business runs on. This happens on day one.

2

We map the workflows that cross system boundaries

Which FieldEdge events should trigger actions in other tools? What data needs to sync between systems? How should reports be structured and delivered? We map out the logic, build the connections, and configure OpenClaw to handle the automation your field service platform can't reach.

3

OpenClaw starts running your cross-platform operations

FieldEdge events fire. OpenClaw handles the cross-platform actions. Data flows between systems. Reports generate automatically. You review the first few days, tell us what to adjust, and we fine-tune. Within a week, the bridge between FieldEdge and everything else is running on its own.

Common questions

Does OpenClaw replace FieldEdge?
No. FieldEdge stays your dispatching and job management hub. OpenClaw is the automation layer that connects FieldEdge to your other business tools: email platforms, Slack, Google Drive, reporting dashboards, and anything else FieldEdge doesn't talk to natively. Your dispatching board, customer records, and invoicing stay exactly where they are.
How is this different from FieldEdge's built-in QuickBooks sync?
FieldEdge's QuickBooks sync handles accounting data. OpenClaw handles everything else that crosses system boundaries. When a job completes, OpenClaw can send the customer a follow-up email through your marketing platform, update a Google Sheet with job metrics, notify your office manager in Slack, and schedule the next maintenance visit reminder. QuickBooks sync covers one connection. OpenClaw covers the rest.
How long does setup take?
Most integrations are running within 3 to 5 days. Day one covers the FieldEdge API connection and webhook configuration. The remaining time goes toward mapping your specific workflows, connecting your external tools, and testing the full chain from FieldEdge trigger to external action.
Will this work with our existing dispatching workflow?
Yes. OpenClaw doesn't change how you dispatch or manage jobs in FieldEdge. It watches for events (job created, status changed, invoice sent) and takes action in your other tools based on those events. Your dispatchers keep working in FieldEdge the same way they always have.
Can OpenClaw handle service agreement reminders?
Yes. OpenClaw can monitor service agreement dates in FieldEdge and trigger actions when maintenance is coming due: send the customer a reminder email, create a task for your office staff, or pre-populate a work order with the equipment details. When an agreement is about to expire, it triggers a renewal sequence. The specifics depend on your workflow, but the pattern is the same: FieldEdge data triggers external actions.
