Platform Integration

Salesforce is powerful.
Your attorneys hate it.

Litify gives your firm everything it needs on Salesforce. But if attorneys won't use it properly, the data goes stale and the system works against you. OpenClaw handles the operational complexity so lawyers can practice law.

OpenClaw connects to Litify through Salesforce's REST and SOAP APIs. Matters, intakes, contacts, documents, time entries, billing. All of it.

You paid for Salesforce. Nobody wants to use it.

Litify is built for legal. That doesn't mean your attorneys are built for Salesforce.

The system is complex, so compliance drops

Litify can track every detail of a matter. But attorneys have billable hours to worry about, and spending 10 minutes updating custom fields after every client call isn't billable. So they skip it. Matter records drift out of date. By the end of the quarter, the data you need for reporting is half-complete at best.

Intake spans teams with no coordination

A new matter comes in and touches the front desk, intake coordinator, conflicts team, and the assigning partner. Each person does their part in Litify, but nobody sees the full picture. The intake sits in limbo for days because one person didn't update their step, and nobody knows who's holding it up.

Reporting requires a Salesforce admin

A partner wants to know how many matters closed last quarter by practice area. Simple question. But pulling that report means navigating Salesforce's report builder, knowing which custom objects to query, and understanding the difference between a Litify matter and a Salesforce opportunity. So they email IT and wait three days.

Matter handoffs lose context between teams

When a matter moves from intake to litigation, or from one attorney to another, the receiving team gets a record full of fields they have to piece together. Key conversations happened over email. Notes are in Outlook, not Litify. The new attorney spends the first week just figuring out where things stand.

OpenClaw + Litify Integration

OpenClaw connects to Litify through the Salesforce API. It reads your matters, processes intakes, updates records, and coordinates between teams. Here's what that looks like.

Intake workflows that actually move

New intake arrives in Litify. OpenClaw picks it up, runs conflict checks against existing contacts, routes it to the right practice group, and notifies the assigning partner with a summary. If any step stalls, OpenClaw flags it and follows up. No more intakes sitting in limbo for days.

Matter records that stay current

OpenClaw reads incoming emails and call notes, then updates the relevant matter fields in Litify. Client changed their address? Updated. Opposing counsel filed a motion? Noted on the matter with the date. Attorneys don't have to touch Salesforce for the data to be accurate.

Team handoffs with full context

When a matter transfers between departments or attorneys, OpenClaw compiles a handoff summary: current status, key dates, recent communications, outstanding tasks, and client preferences. The receiving attorney gets a clear picture without digging through Salesforce records for an hour.

Reports on demand, no admin needed

A partner asks "How many PI matters did we close in Q4?" OpenClaw queries Litify through the API and returns the answer in plain language. No Salesforce report builder. No waiting for IT. It pulls from your actual data, including custom objects and fields specific to your org.

Deadline and task tracking

OpenClaw monitors statute of limitations dates, filing deadlines, and task due dates in Litify. When something is approaching, it notifies the responsible attorney. If a task is overdue, it escalates. No more relying on someone to manually check the calendar every morning.

Plaintiff case automation

OpenClaw works with Litify's Salesforce-based platform to automate mass tort intake screening, track case milestones, coordinate with co-counsel, and generate status reports across your entire docket. Whether you're running 50 cases or 5,000, the operational work scales without adding headcount.

Cross-department coordination

Litify tracks what happens in each department. OpenClaw connects the dots between them. When the billing team marks time entries as reviewed, the matter lead gets notified. When a paralegal uploads a document, the attorney gets a summary. Information flows without anyone chasing it down.

What is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw is an open-source AI assistant that connects to the tools you already use and operates them for you. Email, calendar, CRM, messaging. It reads, it responds, it takes action. It runs on your own devices, so your data stays yours.

It's not a chatbot you paste into a website. It's an operator that works behind the scenes, handling the tasks you keep putting off because there aren't enough hours in the day.

What this looks like in practice

Three real scenarios where OpenClaw and Litify work together.

Personal Injury Firm

Intake that doesn't stall at the conflicts desk

A new PI referral comes in through the firm's intake form. OpenClaw creates the intake record in Litify, runs a conflict check against existing parties, and routes the matter to the right practice group based on case type and jurisdiction. The assigning partner gets a notification with the referral source, injury type, and conflict status. If the conflicts team hasn't cleared it within four hours, OpenClaw follows up. What used to take two days now takes two hours.

Insurance Defense

Carrier reporting without the spreadsheet

Your insurance carrier client needs a monthly status report on 40 active matters. Usually, a paralegal spends a full day pulling data from Litify, formatting it into the carrier's template, and emailing it over. OpenClaw queries the matter records through the API, compiles status updates, recent activity, and budget figures, and generates the report. The paralegal reviews it in 20 minutes instead of building it in eight hours.

Corporate Legal Department

Outside counsel management that tracks itself

Your legal department assigns matters to outside counsel through Litify. OpenClaw monitors the matter for updates: new invoices, status changes, upcoming deadlines. When outside counsel submits a bill that exceeds the budget threshold, OpenClaw flags it for review before approval. When a deadline is approaching without a status update, it sends a follow-up request. The GC gets a weekly summary without asking for one.

How setup works

Three steps. We handle the technical work.

1

We connect OpenClaw to your Litify org

We set up a connected app in your Salesforce instance and configure API access so OpenClaw can read and write to your Litify objects. Matters, contacts, intakes, documents, custom fields. We also set up platform events so OpenClaw knows when something changes in real time. This happens on day one.

2

We map your firm's processes

Your custom objects. Your intake workflow. Your matter stages. Your practice groups and routing rules. We configure OpenClaw to understand how your firm actually operates, not generic legal workflows, but the specific way your teams move work through Litify.

3

OpenClaw starts operating your Litify

Intakes get processed. Matter records stay updated. Handoffs happen with full context. Reports get generated on request. You review the first week of activity, tell us what to adjust, and we fine-tune. Within two weeks, your Litify runs the way it was supposed to from the start.

Common questions

Does OpenClaw replace Litify?
No. OpenClaw connects to Litify through the Salesforce API and operates it on your behalf. Your Litify instance, custom objects, flows, and data stay exactly where they are. OpenClaw handles the day-to-day operational work so your attorneys don't have to navigate Salesforce to keep the system accurate.
What Litify features can OpenClaw access?
OpenClaw connects through Salesforce's REST and SOAP APIs, which means it can access matters, contacts, intakes, documents, time entries, billing records, custom objects, and reports. If it exists in your Litify org, OpenClaw can read it, update it, and act on it.
How long does the integration setup take?
Most Litify integrations are running within 5 to 7 days. The Salesforce API connection goes live on day one. The remaining time is spent mapping your custom objects, configuring intake workflows, and training the AI on your firm's specific processes and matter types.
Do we need a Salesforce admin for this?
Not on an ongoing basis. We handle the initial API configuration and connected app setup during onboarding. Once OpenClaw is running, it operates through the API without needing admin intervention. If your org has complex permission sets or custom security, we'll work with your admin during setup.
Will OpenClaw work with our custom Litify objects and flows?
Yes. Litify runs on Salesforce, so every custom object, field, flow, and platform event is accessible through the API. During setup, we map your specific schema so OpenClaw knows how to read and write to your custom matter types, intake fields, and workflow triggers.
Does OpenClaw work with Litify for mass tort cases?
Yes. OpenClaw handles high-volume intake screening, qualifies potential claimants against your case criteria, and routes qualified leads into your Litify pipeline automatically. It works across the full mass tort lifecycle, from initial screening through docket-wide status reporting.
